Zoom Connection: Salem High School Work-based Learning and CTE Program Expansion
This months Zoom Connection will be an introduction to Salem High Schools work-based learning and program expansion and renovation by Kim McFarlane, SHS Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director and Karyn King Fargo, internship coordinator. The Salem High School Career & Technical Education Department is a Massachusetts Chapter 74 Certified Department where four-year students acquire entry-level skills preparing them to enter the labor market or enabling them to receive post-secondary college credit in their career & technical education area. PROGRAMS: Automotive Technology, Building and Property Management, Culinary Arts, Electrical, Early Education and Care, Medical Assisting.
The Senior Internship Program is an opportunity to apply content proficiency to post-secondary readiness. Students align post-secondary goals with an internship experience that engages them in challenging and work-based-learning opportunities.
Please note: Moderated by Chamber Executive Director Rinus Oosthoek, Salem Chamber’s Zoom Connections are limited to 25 participants and registrations are on a first come, first serve basis.
