Store Clerk

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Shopkeeper to manage the day-to-day operations of our store. The Shopkeeper will be responsible for maintaining store cleanliness, managing inventory, assisting customers, and ensuring smooth operations. You will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive shopping experience. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Address customer queries, provide product recommendations, and ensure high levels of satisfaction. Sales: Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle payments. Promote special offers, sales, and new products to customers. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, arrange for replenishment of goods, and ensure products are properly displayed on the shelves. Conduct regular stock counts and report any discrepancies. Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive store layout. Ensure that shelves are stocked, aisles are clear, and the store is tidy. Product Knowledge: Keep up-to-date with product offerings, features, and benefits to provide accurate information to customers. Visual Merchandising: Ensure the store’s displays and signage are visually appealing and aligned with marketing campaigns. Safety and Security: Monitor store security, ensure that all safety procedures are followed, and report any concerns to the manager. Sales Reporting: Assist in tracking sales, preparing daily reports, and providing feedback to the store manager on product performance and customer preferences. Skills and Qualifications: Previous retail experience preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic mathematical skills for handling cash and transactions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights. Attention to detail and a positive attitude. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry boxes, stock shelves, and organize merchandise.
