    We believe billing is more than numbers — it is part of the client experience. We are looking for a Medical Billing Specialist who values clear communication, empathy, and accuracy, and who wants to play a meaningful role in supporting a mental health practice.

    Position Overview
    The Medical Billing Specialist will manage insurance billing operations, client financial workflows, and claims follow-up to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.

    This role includes client interaction and requires professionalism, compassion, and strong communication skills.

    This position reports directly to the Chief Operations and Finance Officer.

    Schedule & Work Environment

    • Full-Time W2 Position

    • Hybrid/Remote/Work From Home/Possibly 1 day in person

    • Monday – Friday

    • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    Responsibilities

    Insurance Billing & Revenue Cycle Management

    • Submit and manage insurance claims for mental health services

    • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits

    • Review EOBs and post payments accurately

    • Investigate denied or rejected claims

    • Contact insurance companies to resolve billing issues

    • Re-submit corrected claims

    • Maintain accounts receivable tracking and follow-up

    Client Financial Management

    • Process client payments including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance

    • Ensure accurate payment tracking

    • Maintain valid credit cards on file

    • Communicate financial responsibility clearly to clients

    • Follow up on outstanding balances professionally

    Administrative Billing Support

    • Process insurance paperwork for new clients

    • Support intake financial workflows

    • Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR system

    Qualifications (Preferred but not required):

    • 1+ year medical billing experience

    • Behavioral health billing experience preferred

    • Knowledge of insurance billing terminology

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Ability to work independently

    Compensation & Benefits:
    Compensation: $58,000 - $62,000 per year
