HVAC and Heat Pump Instructor
Posted: 11/16/2025The North Shore HVAC and Heat Pump partnership, supported by a Mass Clean Energy Center Grant, is starting up new training to bring new HVAC and heat pump technicians into the labor force in entry-level roles. Our team is looking for instructors in the Lynn and Salem areas to kick off this new initiative. The new grant program will train 30 adults for careers in HVAC and heat pumps. Instructors will be skilled HVAC technicians with 3-5 years of experience who can deliver the instructional materials and hands on learning lessons with new, state-of-the-art equipment. Programming kicks off in January and ends in late May. We will train you on the instructional material and teach you the installation and maintenance of Amatrol equipment. And, the existing educational leaders partnering on this program will get you ready to teach! • Premium Hourly Rate: Secure an exceptional supplemental income with a competitive teaching salary of $75.00 per hour. • Ideal Part-Time Hours: Maintain your current work schedule with this opportunity, which involves part-time evening hours (e.g., three days a week from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Lynn or during a third-shift program in Salem). • Field Experience is the Core Requirement: Your 3–5 years of full-time employment experience in HVAC/R installation or service is the primary qualification needed. This role allows you to transition your real-world knowledge into valuable instruction. • Focus on High-Demand Technology: Teach specialized, Heat Pump centric HVAC classes, contributing directly to workforce development in the North Shore region. • Utilize Your Certifications: Your EPA 608 Technician, HotWorks and other industry Certifications and skills in areas like ductwork design and diagnostics are needed to deliver instruction as part of the curriculum.
