Secret Garden: A Theatrical Reading

Come enjoy this family friendly staged reading of The Secret Garden based on the classic 1911 novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Young, orphaned Mary Lennox discovers a secret garden, saves her sickly young cousin, and melts the heart of her emotionally distant uncle in this touching coming of age story. The reading will also include beautiful costumes,  enchanted scenery created by Salem’s Grace and Diggs, and live music!
The reading will take place outside in the Athenaeum garden. In the case of rain, the reading will take place inside. Chairs will be provided, and weather appropriate clothing is recommended.

Recommended for children ages 6 and up.

$35 adults/$30 members/$25 children 10 and under.
