Illuminating the Stories That Bind Us Around Food

Eating tasty food is one of the most delightful things we get to experience in this life. It nourishes our bodies, and enlivens our senses. Yet, what should be an uncomplicated simple pleasure can become heavily entrapped in stories, beliefs, and messages from familial and societal experiences. In this workshop, registered dietitian Jennifer Jasmin and psychotherapist Jennifer Carey team up to help bring these messages to light so they don’t negatively impact our relationship to the joy and sustenance food can provide for us. Through education, shared experience, dialogue, journaling, and art - we begin illuminating and transforming the stories that bind us around food.
