Three artists with three distinct approaches to the work of the sculptor are featured in the Winfisky Gallery's mid-November exhibition. Jill Jacobs creates work using rods of steel and her cold-bending of the shapes forms her shape language.Jacobs "explores the intersections of rigid-delicate, masculine-feminine, industry-nature, as well as universal human experiences and life's momentous thresholds." Morgan Petitpas '20 does not seek to build new worlds through her work but instead strives to "soften and illuminate the world we already exist in. Fusing found fabrics, objects, and images, I create sculptures, wearables, and environments by means of deliberate play, experimental engineering, meditative walks, and a constant curiosity towards the strange and mundane." Tereza Swanda's work "explores transformation, care, and the relationship between memory, landscape, and body. I work in sculpture, ceramics, and installation, using clay, oil, plaster, wood, and organic matter, materials that hold stories and change over time."
