Kick off a revolutionary season at Historic New England’s Phillips House with an exploration into Salem’s privateers during the American Revolution. On June 13, join us for a lively conversation with Professor Donna Seger, co-editor of Salem’s Centuries: New Perspectives on the History of an Old American City, and Dr. Maria Pride, who will highlight the captains and crews that helped secure the colonies’ independence. Following the talk, enjoy sea shanties from the Salem band Crowninshield Punch and a light reception. Please note, this event will take place outside in the evening. There is on street parking available, and the restroom at Phillips House is on the first floor of the house. Stairs are required to enter the house.
