DESCRIPTION:The Salem Food Policy Council will host its first Longest Table event\, an outdoor dinner that will take place on the Congress Street bridge between Derby and Peabody Streets. Catered by the Salem nonprofit Root\, the event will be a celebration of the Salem Food Policy Council's work\, and the work of its member organizations\, to improve access to healthy\, affordable\, and culturally relevant foods in Salem.\n\nAll Salem community members are welcome to attend. The link to the free registration on EventBrite is: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-longest-table-food-friends-for-all-tickets-893704112057?aff=oddtdtcreator.\n\nThe menu for the event will be:\n\n	Spanish Rice\n	Black beans with onions and peppers\n	Roasted plantains\n	Cuban chicken\n	Dessert TBA\n\nCongress Street will be closed on the day of the event between Derby and Peabody Streets from 11:00am and 8:00pm and there will be no parking on either side of the Congress Street bridge during this time.\n\nIf rain is forecasted\, there will be a rain location in Shetland Park. Details and directions will be announced in advance.
