DESCRIPTION:Join SSCW's Community Engagement Manager\, Susan Marsh\, for a two-part workshop to use words\, pictures\, and numbers to record your nature observations\, questions\, connections\, and explanations in a journal that you make. You do not have to have an art background to join us! Feel free to join one or both workshops at our office. All materials and tools will be provided.\n\nYou may donate in-person or online at salemsound.org/ways-to-give/.\n\nPlease register at info@salemsound.org or call (978) 741-7900 by Wednesday\, January 24th to ensure we have enough materials for each participant. Please note that this workshop is intended for adult participants.\n\nPart 1: Constructing Nature Journals\, $25 Donation \n\nLearn how to make your own journals from recycled materials. \n\nPart 2: Nature Journaling\, $25 Donation \n\nLearn how to slow down\, pay attention\, and get curious about the world around you. We'll look at different examples of Nature Journal drawings and then use the journals we made in the previous week (or bring your own from home) to observe and sketch animals in our touch tank and other natural objects.\n\nWe are offering two sessions: one in the evening and one during the day to accommodate different schedules. The workshops in each session will be identical: \n\nPart 1: Tuesday\, January 30th 10-11am OR Wednesday\, January 31th 6-7pm\n\nPart 2: Tuesday\, February 6th 10-11:30am OR Wednesday\, February 7th 6-7:30pm.
