DESCRIPTION:Please join us for an evening celebrating 150 years of women empowering women. The event will feature live music\, signature cocktails (including "Raise the Roof!")\, a three-course dinner\, and a silent auction\, all hosted in the Maritime Ballroom.\n\n\n\nWe are honored to welcome our guest speakers: Beverly Cooper-Pierce\, author of The Rowans\, and\n\nRenee Blacken\, an adventurer and the first woman to row the Atlantic Dash.\n\n\n\nIn addition\, we will debut three new awards:\n\n\n\n  - The Kate Tannatt Woods Award: Founded following an 1875 call to action by Salem schoolteacher Kate Tannatt Woods\, this award recognizes a woman who demonstrates exceptional dedication to supporting those in need.\n\n      - Recipient: Rachel Lutts\, President of the Samaritan Charitable Society of Salem\n\n  - The Jennie Emmerton Award: Named in honor of the 19th-century philanthropist who donated Emmerton House\, this award recognizes a woman who embodies her legacy of generosity\, compassion\, and dedication to the community.\n\n      - Recipient: Felicia Pierce\, Chief Executive Officer for North Shore CDC\n\n  - The Emmerton House Award: This award honors an individual who has made a meaningful impact on the residents of Emmerton House.\n\n      - Recipient: To be announced at the Gala\n\n\n\nWe look forward to celebrating this milestone with you.\n\n\n\nhttps://www.womansfriendsociety.org/events-1/wfs-150th-gala-1
