CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
HAUNTED HAPPENINGS GRAND PARADE 2008
Salem
Chamber announces Never Neverland Parade!
The Salem
Chamber of Commerce is pleased to again present the 13th Annual
Haunted Happenings Grand Parade on Thursday, October 2nd, 2008.
This year's event will be the "Never Neverland Parade".
Grand Marshalls
Mayor Kim Driscoll and Salem State College President Patricia
Maquire Meserve will share the lead in this year's Haunted Happenings
Grand Parade.
As always,
Salem High School's marching band will lead off the first section
of the parade, but many other favorite marching bands will join
the parade as well.
The Parade will be on Thursday evening, October 2nd, and will
start promptly at 6:30pm. The parade will be leaving from Shetland
Properties on Congress Street turning left onto Derby Street,
right onto Lafayette Street, left onto Front Street, right onto
Washington Street, right onto the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall
and finishing in the Salem Common where DJ Doug will entertain
all.
We expect
the Parade to be highly successful as it is a cherished event
by our community, school children and their parents. To help
ensure the success of this event, Salem YMCA Bucket Brigade
will approach all on-lookers to make a contribution, and local
businesses have been solicited for financial support.
