    Job Title: Operations Assistant Department: Mortgage Operations Each employee is responsible and accountable for demonstrating a commitment to the company’s mission statement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Responsible for the administrative/clerical duties with the mortgage operations department including: •Input of loans into loan origination system, update and validate fee schemes to ensure proper disclosure •Review of input data to insure product codes, fees, attorneys, appraisers, etc. are included and correct. •Review AUS (automated underwriting system) for appraisal requirements for transaction for ordering of appraisals in accordance to the Home Valuation Code of Conduct •Review Flood Certification for appropriate flood determination for property, order research for pending flood certifications •Communicate with Loan Officers for correction of any possible upload errors, loan amount, product code, fees, vendor choices, etc. •Organize loan files and assign loan numbers. •Same day distribution to Loan Analysts of all uploaded loans. •Order appraisals, title requests and credit reports in a timely manner •Distribute appraisals on a daily basis and send notification of valuation to operations and sales team, update system with all required appraisal information •Distribution of appraisal to borrower and recording update to system to meet regulatory requirements that the consumer has been provided with a copy of the appraisal within the prescribed regulatory time frames •Validate and process all appraisals invoices. •Monitor Rate Lock Agreement report and send out Rate Lock package for all newly locked loans. •Monitor Re-Disclosure Report and re-disclose loans when required. •Meet various deadlines to insure fulfillment of internal and external compliance requirements. •Handle and distribute confidential borrower information in a manner that insures compliance with all bank, federal and state regulations. •Distribute and reconcile as necessary management reports. •Monitor Credit Authorization report and process Credit Card, Check and Speed Pay information, when appropriate. •Responsible for ordering and maintaining department office supplies. •Responsible for distributing all department mail. •May assist with the processing of loans. •Demonstrates compliance with banking business laws and regulations as defined in company policies and procedures pertinent to the position. •Regular attendance is essential to this position. •Assumes additional responsibilities as requested. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires the ability to multi-task, assess and set priorities on a daily basis. Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are critical. Ability to accurately prepare loan packages, according to the differing requirements and procedures for each state in which we originate loans, as well as for different types of loans.
