In November, NSMC opened a new state-of-the-art Emergency department and the Epstein Center, a new 120-bed facility dedicated to behavioral health. Starting in 2020, all Skee Ball revenue (every singe quarter) will be donated to a Salem non-profit or charity, and each month we will select an organization to benefit. To kick each month off we will host a Skeeball night competition with that month's organization! This month it is Salem Main Streets as our partner, and they will be here on Thursday Jan 9th to get this into gear About Salem Main Streets: SMS produces and supports numerous community events and initiatives throughout the year, including the Salem Farmers’ Market, Salem Arts Festival, Salem’s So Sweet, and the October Information booth. SMS operates thanks to the generosity and partnership of the City of Salem and Mayor Kimberly Driscoll, the Salem Chamber of Commerce, Destination Salem, and many other local business sponsors and community volunteers. Salem Main Streets was founded in 2001 by the City of Salem and a coalition of downtown businesses and area residents, and is modeled on the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s National Main Street Program.
