Name: "To Kill a Mockingbird" at the Gloucester Stage Company
    Date: April 14, 2019
    Event Description:
The Mugford Street Players announce an all-new production of "To Kill a Mockingbird", Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning story as adapted by Christopher Sergel. Tom Robinson, a black man appealing his conviction for rape, was shot 17 times and died while in police custody. “Tom had a good chance for a new trial,” lamented his lawyer Atticus Finch. An investigation of the events leading up to this killing is part of To Kill a Mockingbird, Christopher Sergel’s incendiary stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel about coming-of-age in Depression-era Alabama.

The production is directed by John Fogle and produced by Greg Mancusi-Ungaro and the Mugford Street Players.

The show, presented by The Mugford Street Players, will play for three weeks, Fridays through Sundays until April 14th.  Evening performances begin at 7:30 and matinees at 3PM.  Matinee performances will be held on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are available at GloucesterStage.com.
