Preschoolers in the Park: Archaeology and the Past
Calling all Toddlers, Tots, and Preschoolers ages 2-6! The Park Rangers at Salem Maritime National Historic Site invite you to attend free monthly story-time and activity sessions around the park! Bring your favorite adult and learn about the special places, objects, living things and stories the National Park Service protects. Create crafts to take home and receive a special prize for attending all six sessions! No reservations required. Meet at waite and Peirce (193 Derby Street, Salem), our Park Store! This week's theme is Archaeology and the Past! Dig up objects that tell us about the history of Salem in our archaeology box! Draw a picture of your findings to go in our museum case. Then, see some real artifacts at the Narbonne House. We will be reading "Archaeologists Dig for Clues" by Kate Duke.
