Explore four centuries of life and labor at The Gables July 1 & 2
SALEM — This summer, The House of the Seven Gables is commemorating four centuries of work on its National Historic Landmark museum campus. On first weekends through September, visitors are welcome to visit the museum’s ongoing exhibition, take a special, labor-themed tour of The Gables — one of the oldest timber-framed mansions in North America. Visitors and their families are also invited to take part in the museum’s signature Living History Labs hands-on history experience. There will be demonstrations of historic work activities throughout the day. All events are included with admission to museum. Admission is free for Salem residents and members of The Gables. The annual exhibition in the Visitor Center is free and open to the public. The House of the Seven Gables is located at 115 Derby Street in Salem, Mass. Some onsite parking is available.
