Interactive Theater is everywhere! The working actor in New England has much more than the stage on which to perform. New England, and particularly Boston and Salem have many opportunities to perform in non- traditional venues. And while New England is home to some of the best theater programs in the country, there is still very little to be found in training in the fastest growing theater discipline- Interactive Theater! Whether, its pirate or Renaissance festivals, murder mysteries or a first person historical venues, haunted attractions or interactive witch trials(!), there is a wealth of venues for the working actor right in our backyard. David Stickney has taught interactive theater in New England and beyond ( New York, Chicago, Florida, Virginia) for over twenty five years. He has taught hundreds of actors his techniques. In this informative and fast paced seminar, you will learn the basics of street and interactive theater. This workshop will include: Games to encourage letting loose in a creative theater space. Techniques in developing strong interactive character. The menu for the interactive "entrees" Developing your "bag of tricks" Approaching and engaging the guest. Historical characters and dialect. Tips for success in the interactive theater business.
