Living
Green & Renewable Energy Fair
Old Town Hall at Derby Square, Salem, MA
Saturday, June 14 from 10 am - 3 pm
The Salem
Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Salem Main Streets and
the Salem Renewable Energy Task Force will showcase businesses
and organizations that promote green / renewable products at
the Living Green & Renewable Energy Fair. The fair will
feature numerous exhibits from local, regional and national
companies, a series of green talks by environmental leaders
and organizations, family entertainment and an eco-themed movie
at Cinema Salem. The fair will cover renewable energy, transportation,
building and remodeling, lawn and garden, organic food and locally
grown produce, household products and much more. For more information

Street Fair
Downtown Salem & Pickering Wharf
August 9 & 10 from 10 am - 6 pm
Fun for
all ages this street festival has something for everyone. Crafts,
jewelry, paintings, stained glass, and other unique items will
be featured along the Essex Pedestrian Mall. Street performers,
face painters, and musicians will entertain crowds. For more

Fall Restaurant Week
September 14 - 18, 2008
Salem Restaurant
Week is an easy and economical way for patrons to eat at their
favorite restaurant or try a restaurant they haven't been to
before. Hotel properties and destinations will be encouraged
to create visitor packages to co-promote the event. Depending
on financial support and media sponsorship, the target market
for the event is Greater Boston and the North Shore. A web-page
will be developed for the event. Many of Salem's finer restaurants
will be offering prix fixe three-course dinners for $26.26.

The Haunted Happenings Grand Parade is a Salem tradition that
brings out the entire city and all of the surrounding communities
to kick off the Haunted Happenings season. It is filled with
pageantry, music and the enthusiasm of thousands of Salem's
students from Kindergarten to college.
